ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police have charged a 22-year-old Rochester man in connection with a deadly car crash earlier this month.

Police say Matthew Canales struck another car after driving through a red light at the intersection of East Main Street and North Chestnut Street.

Four people were hurt, including Sadia Brooks, 33, who later died.

Canales was charged with second-degree manslaughter and is being held in the Monroe County Jail, according to authorities.
