Rochester police have made several arrests connected to protests over the death of a man in police custody.

On Thursday morning, five people were arrested for blocking State Street. Some held signs and laid down in the middle of the road. Their names have not yet been released.

Nine people were arrested Wednesday afternoon after demonstrators began to gather around the Rochester Public Safety Building and demanded answers following the death of Daniel Prude.

Prude, 41, died in March following an arrest by Rochester police officers.

Mayor Lovely Warren and RPD Chief La'Ron Singletary addressed the situation during a news conference and police footage of the arrest was also released on Wednesday.

The New York Attorney General's Office is investigating Prude's death.
