Irondequoit police say a 9th grader is responsible for a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of Eastridge High School on Friday.

The student will be arrested as a juvenile and charged with falsely reporting an incident and making a false written statement. The case will be handled in family court.

Police say the student wrote the threat on a wall in the school. Students were then evacuated and police searched the building. Once it was deemed safe, everyone was allowed to re-enter the building.
