FAIRPORT, N.Y. — Services begin this weekend for Rochester Police Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz. He was fatally shot in the line of duty on July 21 on Bauman Street.

Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home in Fairport from 1-8 p.m. All shuttle services will be provided at Fairport High School.

The funeral for Officer Mazurkiewicz will take place Monday at noon at the Blue Cross Arena.

Also happening this weekend, Mazurkiewicz's hometown of Perinton is going blue in his honor.

The canal bridge in the village of Fairport is lit in blue through Sunday to pay tribute to the fallen officer.

Some Perinton residents may also find a blue ribbon in their mailbox. They are being distributed as a community effort to honor their neighbor "Tony." The ribbons are being displayed on porches and mailboxes, along with blue lights, outside the homes of residents.
