ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Embrace Your Sisters, a nonprofit that does emergency funding for breast cancer patients, is hosting its Tea for Two Fashion Show this weekend.

Some of the models are survivors of breast cancer themselves.

Sara Daley was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2020 at the age of 26. She made a Facebook page to give updates to friends and family, which eventually gained attention from other women struggling with the disease.

Now, Daley is determined to raise awareness about the disease, as well as the importance of getting mammograms and checking yourself regularly.

"I know it's not fun, but women of any age really, since puberty, should be checking your breasts and if you're ever unsure of something that might look different, just immediately go to the doctor, even if you think you're being dramatic over it," said Daley.

Tickets for the fashion show are sold out but people can still participate in the silent auction.

The bidding starts Saturday, April 30. Pre-registration is recommended.
