For years, the Village of Victor was the place to be for St. Patrick’s Day weekend at McGhan’s. Green beer and the big tent were good times for all, but the longtime eatery closed in 2012. Three Victor breweries are now working together to bring the party back to Mead Square Park on West Main St.

The heated tent is up and ready to host a St. Patrick’s Day weekend party with plenty of craft beer, food, live music and even some Irish dancing.

Chris Thomas grew up in Victor. He’s raising his family there and owns Twin Elder Brewery on Coville St. in Victor. He can’t wait to see everyone in the big tent tonight and Saturday.

"Clem McGhan, he was the epitome of the greatest party," said Thomas. "For us, it is all about community. So, three village breweries, Twin Elder, which is us, No BS and Stumblin’ Monkey, collaboratively got together and said let’s bring this party back to Victor and that is what we are doing."

The party under the tent at 39 W. Main St. in Victor starts Friday at 5:30 p.m. and picks up again Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is $20 Friday and $25 Saturday. The event is for adults age 21 and up.

Eight bands are scheduled to play and some jigs from the Irish dancers from Jamieson Irish Dance.

Bands Friday:

  • Young Guns Rusty Barrels
  • Panda Handstand
  • Shades of Grey

Bands Saturday:

  • John Carter Acoustic
  • Jamieson Irish Dance
  • Neil Van Dorn Band
  • Hey Mabel
  • The Regular Crowd Songs by Billy Joel
