DANSVILLE, N.Y. — An outbreak of the coronavirus has caused the Dansville Central School district to go to remote learning starting on Monday.
School officials say the district currently has more than 40 positive cases and has had between 30 and 45 cases for the last nine days.
There were no classes Friday, so the schools could be deep cleaned.
Dansville will be in remote learning until November 30 and will go back to in-person learning on December 1.
Also factoring into the decision is staffing shortages.
Athletics will resume Saturday and continue through the remote learning period.
