CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The Canandaigua Police Department says they have located the vintage pick-up truck they believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on South Main Street on Saturday evening.
Police on Monday identified the elderly disabled man who was hit and killed while crossing the street on his scooter.
Officers say Edwin Wesley, 62, was on a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a mid-1950's green Ford pickup. The man was airlifted from the scene to Strong Hospital where he later died.
Police say after the truck hit the man, it left the scene.
On Tuesday, police said that the truck was found in a storage facility.
Police say no charges have been filed yet, but an investigation is ongoing.
