The Monroe County Department of Transportation says that an American flag that flies between the west and eastbound lanes of Interstate 490 has not been vandalized. County officials report that the flag was dirty and has been replaced.
On Tuesday, a ceramic horse in the same location painted to honor the victims of the 9-11 attacks was removed for repairs after it too was vandalized.
