Jimmy Z’s, the popular Brockport eatery, had to stop taking orders because of high demand after opening up for the first time since March for renovations.

The owner, Jimmy Zisovski, called the restaurant's return "organized chaos at its finest."

"It's unbelievable so Brockport has been super supportive, all of our clientele has been super supportive and we wouldn't have it made these last two months without that," said Zisovski.

Customers like Timothy Butler were determined to beat the rush.

"We placed our order at 1 to make sure we would still get it," said Butler who felt it was worth the wait. "We usually have Jimmy's on Friday nights every week and we've been coming here for years. It's just a good time to enjoy some good food and support the local."

For the past two months, Jimmy Z's closed its doors to the public to redo its floors, install new tables and reorganize its dining room layout for better social distancing.

"We have a terminal in front of the window which allows us to have a signing unit with signing tablet and credit card in the foyer, so there's really no contact when it comes to the customers. They can pay for it there, pay for it online. We're doing the best we can in these uncertain times," Zisovski explained.

Zisovski says it's unknown when customers will able to dine inside Jimmy Z's, but they are ready to serve the community for the long haul.

"Our goal is to make people's bellies happy and keep them coming back. Safety is our number one priority here and we are so thankful for the support that they gave us in deciding to stay closed for the last two months, and so thankful that they are here waiting for us today," said Zisovski.
