Medal of Honor Recipient David Bellavia was given the key to the City of Niagara Falls on Saturday afternoon.

Bellavia signed books and hosted a community talk to raise money for his new foundation "Deuce Deuce Relief Fund Inc." The foundation raises money for Bellavia's former task force in Iraq, who are experiencing hardship.

Bellavia says it's important to put politics aside and come together to make change.

"We've got so many things in this country we can be grateful for, so many have sacrificed for this opportunity, let's not waste it. Let's change the nation from inside," Bellavia said.

There is no update yet on whether or not Bellavia plans to run for the New York 27th congressional seat to replace former Congressman Chris Collins.
