Crews continue to battle the fire on Sugarloaf Mountain in Hudson Highlands State Park. NYS Parks Police say the fire, as of 9 p.m. Sunday was 100 percent contained.

Police say 38 acres were burned and have 40 firefighters on scene presently. They add NYSP helicopters are receiving water from the Hudson River and then flying from Stewart Airport to water drop over the mountain.

Earlier we reported no homes or property had been damaged since the large brush fire broke out in the Breakneck Ridge area around 3 p.m. Friday. It's still unclear exactly how the fire was started but park police believe it may have began with an unauthorized campfire.

Several crews are working together to fight the fire including park police, New York State Police, DEC Environmental Conservation Police, and forest rangers.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
