Unofficial results are in for Rochester City Council Democratic primaries.
The Northwest District is too close to call, but Jose Peo is maintaining a less than 2 percent lead over party designated candidate LaShana Boose. He has 38.4 percent of the vote, while she has almost 37 percent of the vote. Leticia Astacio is in third place with 24 percent.
For the South District, incumbent Lashay Harris has 62 percent of the vote while Ann Lewis has 37 percent. Harris was appointed to fill out the remainder of Adam McFadden's term. This primary is for that seat's next term starting in January.
Incumbent Michael Patterson held off a challenge in the Northeast District, winning by a ratio of nearly 2-to-1 over Norman Simmons.
And in the East District, there were five Democratic candidates, but Mary Lupien emerged as the clear leader early on. She secured 60 percent of the vote with all districts reporting.
