The art and music community gathered Sunday night to honor the newest inductees into the ROC Music Hall of Fame.

The class of 2019 includes 11-time Emmy winning composer Jack Allocco, folk singer/songwriter Christine Lavin and promoter Jeffrey Springut.

Founding member of the Beach Boys Al Jardine, who spent part of his childhood in Rochester, was also inducted.

"The current trip brings me all the way back to my childhood, which is always great and in a remarkable sense, it hasn't changed that much," said Jardine. "Usually you go back to a place where you lived or grew up and everything is different. Here everything seems to be solid, solid people, solid infrastructure and beautiful."

WCFM radio was recognized for its 50th anniversary, while three high school students were presented with the Douglas Lowry Award.
