A Webster man has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison for storing explosives in an abandoned home on Ridgeway Avenue.

The Monroe County District Attorney has called the crime a "calculated and selfish act."

Eric Reynolds was sentenced to 11 years for weapons possession. He pleaded guilty in November to having containers of gas and explosive devices in that home.

Police say while the Arson Task Force was investigating the home in early 2017 one of the explosives went off. The building was damaged but no one was hurt.

Reynolds was also convicted of having assault weapons in his Webster home. He'll serve a seven year sentence on those charges at the same time.
