Wine lovers warmed up with ice wine and food through a cold Saturday.

Every February, for the past 11 years, Casa Larga invites other traditional producers of ice wine from across New York State to participate in the “New York Ice Wine & Culinary Festival.”

Those in attendance sampled and paired a cuisine variety and ice wine, which included a paring menu offered by RIT Catering.

Featured at this year’s festival is the horse-drawn wagon rides through the vineyards, to see first-hand grapes frozen on the vine. Single-digit temperatures and a deep freeze settling over any vineyard is the main element behind ice wine production.

Five wineries and one local distillery showcased goods at the one-day annual occasion.
