The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says no charges will be filed in connection to the death of a 14-year-old Rochester boy.

Trevyan Rowe's body was pulled from the Genesee River near the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge last year after being missing for more than a week.

Rowe was last seen leaving School No. 12. His family says they did not know he was missing until he did not get off the bus with his sister later in the day. Rowe was autistic and family members claim that he may have been upset when he walked away from school.

Rochester City School District officials failed to notify the child's family of his absence. An investigation by the district found that three teachers marked Trevyan present the day he went missing and tried to change attendance records as the investigation unfolded.

City officials also determined that six 911 dispatchers failed to follow protocol after receiving calls about a person, believed to be Trevyan, on a bridge.

The DA's office said it finished its investigation of the incident. Meanwhile, the state education commissioner is expected to release her report in the coming weeks.

Next month marks one year since his untimely death.
