Adult Project Search is a program offered by the Arc of Monroe, that provides employment education, and workplace exploration, for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Interns are fully immersed in a business for three 10-12 week sessions. The program includes an hour of classroom instruction, followed by hands on work experience. The goal is to have interns employed at the end of the year.

The Rochester Airport Marriott has been participating in Project SEARCH for four years.

"It's great for both our associates and our guests, because it shows we are an inclusive work environment, we value diversity, and we acknowledge diversity," said Assistant General Manager Brett Wolff.

Two former Project SEARCH interns are now employed by the hotel.

"Who doesn't want a job right? It feels good to have a job and to go to work everyday, so we want everybody to feel that way," said Kayt Davidson of the Arc of Monroe.
