Unions representing educational secretaries and maintenance employees delivered letters to the West Irondequoit Board of Education at Thursday nights meeting.

The two groups represent over 120 district employees who have been working without a contract for over 530 days. Neither group has received a raise since 2016.

"I do see resolution coming I think they will come to us, talk a little bit. We're waiting patiently," said West Irondequoit Maintenance Employees Organization President Norm Christ. "We're trying to still come and do our work, which we are, but waiting patiently."

The board did address the groups during the meeting and said they will take their letters into consideration.
