ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Police responded to a neighborhood not known for violent crime for the reported shooting early Saturday morning.
Rochester police say a 27-year-old man was shot in the upper body just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Harvard and Rutgers Streets in the Park Avenue neighborhood.
Officers say a 23-year-old city resident was also hurt, however they are not commenting on how.
Both men were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non life-threatneing injuries.
Officers searched the area outside with K9 unit where it appears the shooting took place.
It remains under investigation.
