10-Year-Old Apologizes for Tahou's Break-In

The 10-year-old boy caught on camera breaking into Nick Tahou Hots early Tuesday morning has turned himself in and apologized.

The Twitter account for the West Main Street restaurant sent this out Wednesday night:

Update: 10 yo boy came in and acted like a man admitting what he had done and apologizing alongside his mother who was asleep at the time that the boy left the house. Mom said that the boy was in the house when she woke up And had no idea he had left.

Had a nice conversation with Mom and boy. Mother has turned everybody into the police on her own and is waiting for further contact with the RPD. Happy they came in and again no one was hurt.

The child, along with two others, were captured on surveillance video around 5 a.m. Tuesday. In the video, the children use rocks to break a glass door before one of them climbed inside. More surveillance caught the child taking change from a Humane Society donation display.

Nothing else appeared to be touched or damaged inside the restaurant.
