Wayne County Sheriff's investigators are keeping tight lipped about why they once again converged on the property where a young woman was found dead and her baby went missing back in May.

It even has the victims' family wanting to know more.

A team of investigators and a dive team emerged from a cornfield on the 350 acre farm on Joy Road in Sodus.

The deputies on-scene would say little about these developments, instead referring all questions to the sheriff.

This is the farm where the body of 18-year-old Selena Hidalgo-Calderon was found buried in a shallow grave in May.

But her 14-month-old son, Owen Hidalgo-Calderon, was never found.

Back in May, Sheriff Barry Virts expressed that while he would like to think Baby Owen is alive, his experience in law enforcement tells him otherwise.

A friend of the victims' family tells says, however, that Owen's grandmother is holding out hope that he'll be found alive.

The man police say shared a home with Owen and his mother was arrested and remains in custody.

Alberto Reyes faces charges of tampering with evidence after police say he admitted to moving Selena's body.

The sheriff is not saying what prompted the events at the scene, only saying, “Our investigation has and will continue at the Joy Road Farm, Sodus property.  I have no other comments at this time."

A family friend says relatives do feel they've been left a bit in the dark. They don't want to seem ungrateful for the efforts of the police, but say they would like to know about any potential new developments along the way.
