The Sweden mother accused of using a large kitchen knife to brutally kill her young son was arraigned on Friday.

Hanane Mouhib, 36, pleaded not guilty to second degree murder charges in court this morning.

Mouhib was brought into the courtroom in a wheelchair.

Her attorney said she was deemed not competent after undergoing psychiatric exams.

She's being held at a psychiatric facility.

Deputies say Houhib killed her 7-year-old son Abraham Cardenas inside their home last month.

According to court paperwork, Mouhib stabbed her son with a knife in the head and neck, severing the boy's head.

Sheriff's deputies made the discovery when they were called to the home on South Lake Road for a report of a suicidal woman with a knife.

They say Mouhib had to be tased and pepper-sprayed until she dropped the weapon.

The sheriff says the boy's father, grandmother and 10-year-old brother were all inside of the home at the time of the murder.

Cameras were not allowed into the courtroom and the judge ordered the attorneys to exit through the back and not speak to the media.

Mouhib is being held without bail.
