Hundreds of people living in Penfield and Webster woke up without power following Wednesday`s wind storm.

“It`s very frustrating,” said Charlene Mullins of Webster.

Utility and cleanup crews were out all day Thursday trying to restore power and clean up the debris left behind from the powerful winds.

Some residents said they were in the dark for nearly 12 hours.

“It`s very frustrating, especially when you`re a diabetic, you have to keep your insulin cold," said Mullins.

Power is expected to be fully restored by the weekend.
