ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A little more than a month after announcing his resignation, the outgoing University of Rochester president and CEO Joel Seligman delivered his farewell speech on Tuesday.

In his speech to faculty, staff, students and local alumni, Seligman highlighted many of the university's accomplishments over the course of his tenure while giving little mention to the ongoing lawsuit against the university and the investigation into sexual misconduct by former professor Florian Jeager.

Seligman's resignation is effective February 28. He is being replaced on an interim basis by Richard Feldman.

Feldman said the university hopes to select a permanent president by next year.
