Buc-ee's Branching out to Its First Non-Texas Location

LAKE JACKSON, Texas — About as iconic as the orange Whataburger W, one red-capped beaver has become synonymous with Texas.

For the first time ever, residents outside the Lone Star State will be able to fill up on gas and stock up on the Texas-famous Beaver Nuggets, homemade kolaches (click link if you don't know what a kolache is) and beef jerky.

The Texas-based gas station chain announced Thursday that it's opening its first-ever store outside Texas in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Buc-ee's announced that the Florida location will be built on a 32-acre site on the north side of LPGA Boulevard, just east of Interstate 95.

Founded in 1982, Buc-ee’s currently operates 32 locations.
