HENRIETTA, N.Y. -- From around the world and around the state, some of the incoming class of 2,600 freshmen moved in on Tuesday at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Among them, their cumulative GPA and high school class ranking is the highest ever at RIT.

Christopher Spinelli of Syracuse was moving in with his mom, Irene. He's her youngest, and the 4th to go to college.

The freshmen class includes students from 47 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and 54 nations around the world.

For Bill Destler, it's his last move-in day as RIT president. He's retiring.
