GREECE, N.Y. -- Almost 800 homes remain without power this morning after a crash in the town of Greece early Sunday morning.

A car went off the road and crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Mt. Read Boulevard and Stone Road just before 3 a.m. The impact broke the pole in half and knocked down wires, causing a major power outage in the area.

The Ridge Road Fire Department was assisted by RG&E in helping to free the driver. Police say Ricky Seeman, 21, was arrested for DWI and treated at the hospital for a possible minor injury.

RG&E is reporting 756 power outages in the area of the crash. The company lists an expected restoration time for 6:15 p.m.
