IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. -- One local group continues to express its concerns, saying that major flooding this year has been caused by a plan meant to improve the Lake Ontario shoreline.

The group United Shoreline assembled a rally Friday night against what the group considers "extensive devastation" brought on by the International Joint Commission's Plan 2014.

The plan is part of a 16-year study that is supposed to improve shoreline resiliency and restore the ecosystem, according to the IJC.

United Shorelines's next rally will be held September 8th in Wilson, Niagara County.
