Spectrum has donated $7,500 to Goodwill of the Finger Lakes to support adult learners through the organization’s Goodwill Learning Academy.
The funding, part of the Spectrum Employee Community Grants program, will help learners earn nationally recognized high school diplomas through the National External Diploma Program. The academy offers a self-paced curriculum with support that includes free transportation, laptops, flexible scheduling, one-on-one coaching and online or in-person modules.
“At the Goodwill Learning Academy, we believe every adult deserves a second chance at success,” said Jennifer Lake, president and CEO of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. “GLA provides so much more than a high school diploma — it’s about restoring confidence, opening doors and empowering individuals to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.”
Rahman Khan, group vice president of community impact at Charter Communications, Spectrum’s parent company, said the grant aligns with the company’s commitment to local nonprofits.
“Through Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we’re proud to provide support to vital community organizations with which our local employees are already volunteering their time and talent,” Khan said. “Together, we’re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across America.”
