An Ontario County man who investigators say was the victim of a horrific murder was honored at the Stonewall Inn in New York City on Thursday.
Sam Norquist, a transgender man originally from Minnesota, had his name added to the National LGBTQ Wall of Honor.
Stonewall has become a national monument to LGBTQ civil rights. The Wall of Honor posthumously celebrates pioneers and leaders in the movement.
Nordquist was reported missing on Feb. 9 and died after prosecutors say he was tortured to death by several suspects in Hopewell.
