No one likes being cooped up inside with nowhere to roam, especially dogs.

Better Together Dog Park on Culver Road in Rochester has 3,000 square feet of space for dogs, large and small to run around off-leash. It's social time for them and their owners. There's even a cafe serving food and drinks.

Owners Desiree Lopez-Ellis and husband Joshua know the guilt that go along with juggling work and playtime.

'We have a rescue dog, her name is Haas. We’re both full-time workers so we work in the daytime for 8 to 10 hours a day and when you come home and your dog has been in a crate that whole time, you just feel super guilty and you can’t leave them. So at that point we just wanted to place where we can go and entertain with our friends and our dogs at the same time," said Desiree.

Kelly Dolan recently moved to Rochester. She needed a safe, indoor play space for Honey, her 10-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell.

"I have a senior dog myself so she can’t handle the cold temperatures so I thought this would be a great opportunity for her," said Dolan.

"We do live in Rochester where it is cold like 90 percent of the time so this is the place that is climate controlled. You can come and enjoy time with your pups and not be exposed to the heat or cold weather," said Desiree.
