If you're looking to stay warm and have some fun during the February break with the kids, you may want to head to the Rochester Museum and Science Center.

It's animal week and visitors can experience dozens of new live animals up close every day.

Visitors have the opportunity to use their imagination to design their own animal, and learn about challenges that animals face while trying to survive in their environment.

"So we're going to escape the cold, come here and be very warm," said Kevin McNally, RMSC event coordinator. "We'll have many hands-on activities to kind of correlate with the animals that are here. Really kind of get interactive remain inquisitive with the week off from school, so that will be very nice."

The event kicks off Saturday and runs through Sunday, February 24th.

Animal week hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids three and under get in free.
