There are a lot of school closings throughout the region Thursday morning, and there's some more interesting ways in how students are being notified.

Some local superintendents are having some fun making their announcements on social media.

Brockport Central School District Superintendent Dr. Lesli Myers-Small rapped to "Ice Ice Baby" to tell students that it was too cold to go to school.

Over in Webster, Superintendent Carmen Gumina says he was bowing to "pier" pressure, listening to the piers at Webster Park and Irondequoit Bay in deciding to cancel school Thursday.

Meanwhile, Newark School Superintendent Matt Cook was much more direct.

For those off today, enjoy it and stay warm!
