A fan known as "Bills Dad" is thankful for Bills Mafia Monday morning after they helped him recover a special gift.

Dick Degroat had a plaque made for him by Tony Danner of Danner Wood Designs, but Degroat mistakenly left it by a fan's car at last week's game against the Jets.

The iconic fan says he was in such a hurry to get back to Rochester and beat the traffic that he forgot all about it.

Bills Dad then looked to the Bills Mafia for help.

"He made this for me, gave it to me and I left it in the parking lot," Degroat said. "So, we put it out on social media and people spread it all around. Fortunately, some really nice people, they were parked next to me, picked it up, which I can't blame them for, I would have done the same thing, but they immediately contacted me and here we are — we got it back."

Degroat is known for the fun videos he posts to social media before every Bills game day.

Danner watches those videos and wanted to add something special to Degroat's bar.
