Patty Tavatanakit shot a third round 65 and leads the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic by five shots.

Tavatanakit won last week's Symetra Tour stop in French Lick, Indiana. Jenny Coleman led most of the middle of the day after a 64 out of the morning groups but Patty T birdied eight and nine, eagled ten, and then birdied 11 and 12 to run past her.

Laetitia Beck, Maude-Aimee Leblanc, Lauren Coughlin, and Yujeon Son are all tied for third, six-shots back of Tavatanakit.

Kelly Whaley is at four-under par and getting the benefit of 29 years experience from her caddie, Brian Funk of East Rochester. Funk caddied on the LPGA Tour for 16 years, mostly with Utica native Moira Dunn and also caddied at the Senior PGA Championship in May at Oak Hill.

Funk says of Whaley, "I see a tremendous amount of composure in Kelly and a lot of patience. Obviously, she's got a tremendous amount of experience with tournament golf at the level she's played in, in school, which I think is a tremendous benefit for her. She's got a lot of patience and courage."

Whaley tees off at 9:20 a.m. at Brook-Lea on Sunday. Tavatanakit and Coleman are last off the first tee at 12:40 p.m.
