ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It was a big night for Rochester musicians as the Rochester Music Hall of Fame inducted its Class of 2018, with a special guest.

Paul Simon graced the stage with Steve Gadd.

Gadd, John Beck, Tony Levin, Ferdinand Jay Smith and the Campbell brothers all entered the Hall of Fame during its ceremony at Eastman Theatre.

Not only has Gadd collaborated with Simon, but also with James Taylor and Eric Clapton. Beck is the Eastman School of Music's professor emeritus of percussio,. and has been with the school for decades. Levin is the bassist for the Peter Gabriel band. Smith is an Emmy-nominated composer. The Campbell Brothers are masters of steel music.

The ceremony was founder Karl LaPorta's last as president of the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. He will step down from the position in June.
