ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police are now investigating the city's 63rd homicide of the year.

Officers were called to an address on Thomas Street just after midnight on Thursday for a report of a person shot. Investigators say the victim, Jose Surrino, 43, was found inside a house with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Surrino was taken to URMC with critical injuries. He died later that day, according to police.

Investigators say no suspects are in custody, and they believe this was a targeted attack.
