ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two men have died from gunshot wounds in the span of two days in Rochester.

Police say the latest homicide took place on Frost Avenue.

According to officers, Marese Logan, 25, was shot and killed near a relative's house around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police don't have anyone in custody at this point, but say they do not believe it was a random act.

"We will have an increase in police presence here. I cannot comment on whether or not these incidents are connected. That's obviously something we'll be looking into, but there has definitely been an increase in shootings," said Capt. Frank Umbrino of the Rochester Police Department.

On Monday, a man died from his injuries after a Sunday night shooting on Colvin Street.

Police have not yet identified the victim.
