Two adults and two children are safe after Rochester firefighters put out a fire in their home early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews say a family woke up around 4 a.m. to the sound of a loud boom and found smoke coming from the attic area of their Clifford Avenue home, near Rustic Street.

Firefighters say flames were coming from the roof when they pulled up.

There was a report of one person still inside. Crews went in to bring them to safety before they got the fire under control.

"The individual was on dialysis so the firefighters assisted him with getting disconnected from his unit and helped remove him from the structure," said deputy chief Felipe Hernandez, Rochester Fire Department.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
