ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Dr. Johan Blickman, the University of Rochester doctor accused of rape, has filed a countersuit against his accuser.

In State Supreme court documents filed in January, Katia Kaplan-List accuses Blickman of drugging and raping her, then threatening to sabotage her career if she reported anything to authorities. 

Blickman is professor of pediatrics and a URMC faculty member. 

In the countersuit Blickman claims he and Kaplan-List were involved in a consensual relationship and after it ended the U or R received a complaint against him.

He says that complaint was investigated and in a written decision the university concluded it was consensual. 

Adding Blickman did not violate the U of R's sexual harassment and discrimination policy.

Blickman is suing for libel and defamation.
