The Attica community uses the popular super bowl square game as a way to raise $10,000 for local food shelters.

Many people watching the game tonight will be following the score pretty closely to see if the square they have in a pool comes in.

Half of the money will go to the Attica Food Pantry and the other half to Foodlink.

Several local businesses chipped in with prizes, and people even continued to support the cause after all the squares were sold.  It's something Luke Harding, one of the organizers says really brought local businesses and community members together.

“I did one Facebook live video, I just basically said 'hey listen, I got three prizes here, I just need one business to come forward with a fourth so I can get one board going, and let’s make this happen,’” Harding said. “Then, the next thing you know I had people coming in the door saying 'I want a square, I want a square,' and I said ' I don't even have these tickets ready yet.’ So it worked out really well. It was really word of mouth.”
