With new health guidelines in place, the weekly Fairport Farmer's Market officially opened for the season Saturday morning.

Shoppers may have to wait to enter, as there will be a limited number of people allowed in the market at once.

What You Need To Know

  • Faiport Farmers Market is open for the season

  • Only vendors can handle food and there are occupancy limits

  • The market will be open every Saturday until November

Customers are also not allowed to touch food, with only vendors able to handle food.

Despite this, the market still gives Fairport residents an opportunity to support local farmers.

"And right now, to be helping local farmers, anything, anything local, local anything, instead of big box stores," said Debbie Dawes of Fairport.

Organizers advise you to keep your trip quick as possible and limit the number of household members going to the market. The Farmer's Market will run every Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon through November.
