Racism was the central topic of a PTSA meeting at the Pittsford Central School District Monday night.

There were reports that some elementary students used racial slurs.

Some worry the district is not doing enough.

"They said they were rewriting the code of conduct, which I laughed at. Nobody reads that. That's doing nothing," said Ben Furer, Pittsford Mendon High School.

The PTSA says it is working with the district to make changes and there is a Restorative Justice parent forum Thursday May 2.

That meeting is open to folks who live, work, or go to school in the distrct and runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Calkins Road Middle School.
