The site of the historic Holley High School is getting a makeover.

The vacant building is being transformed into Holley Gardens, a mixed-use development featuring affordable apartments and public space. It was chosen as one of the Landmark Society of Western New York's Five to Revive projects in 2012.

"I think what this does is brings life back to our main intersection," said Holley Mayor Brian Sorochty. "I think it's gonna bring commerce back to our main square. I couldn't be prouder of what we're doing."

The high school sat vacant for 30 years.
