State lawmakers are still conducting regular business as they prepare for the new session in January. That includes holding public hearings on things like healthy aging. That was the topic of discussion in Albany yesterday, as legislators looked at ways to preserve quality of life for aging residents.

The aging committee is headed up by Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, who has also been mentioned as a possible majority leader next year as Assembly Democrats look to replace now-Congressman Joe Morelle.
