Today is Cyber Monday, and it’s set to be the biggest one yet due to the pandemic.

Analysts predict online sales could hit at least $10.8 billion this year. All that influx could create shortages or delays on some products.

“Already UPS, FedEx have told customers you need to shop earlier than you anticipate,” said Otterbein University professor of marketing Michael Levin. “We've seen the last few years there's been delays in shipping and they're anticipating even more delays this year, in part because so many more people are buying online.”

It's also the prime day for scammers to take advantage of shoppers.

Experts say look for the lock icon on your browser bar to make sure you're on a secure site.

Other tips include create strong passwords, keep up with software updates on the device you’re planning to shop with, and use a two-step verification app that blocks 99% of all cyber-attacks.
