There's a master popcorn maker popping thousands of pounds of corn right in Pittsford.

Popcorn Charlie's on Monroe Avenue makes popcorn in more than 30 different flavors.

Owner Michael Bloch, or "Kernel Charlie," says his top sellers are caramel and kettle corn.

His largest order yet — 50,000 gallons of air-popped, plain popcorn for the Calvin Klein runway show during Fashion Week.

"They filled the room and they walked on it. It was suppose to look like snow and they built the set so it looked like a barnyard," Bloch said. "It was like snow and the models were walking on it. Even the guests were walking on the popcorn."

You can buy Popcorn Charlie's online or at more than two dozen small local grocers like Hegedorn's in Webster, Hart's in Rochester and even at Strong Memorial Hospital.
