BRIGHTON, N.Y. -- UR Medicine has officially opened the doors on its new Outpatient Imaging Center in Brighton.
The facility on East River Road, near West Henrietta Road, gives patients the convenience of having diagnostic imaging testing without having to battle the crowds and parking at Strong Memorial Hospital. The 90,000 sq. ft., three-story building will also lighten up the load of imaging done at Strong, allowing for renovation and expansion at the inpatient facility. This new building was 15 years in the making.
"We have tried to create a very healing for the patient. So, patients feel that they come in to a very relaxed setting, they don't feel hassled, they then go in to an area where they are prepped, which is very individualized and then they have their study - and it is just all very personalized."
The building is also home to Golisano Children’s Hospital’s new autism clinic, which opened on the third floor back in March.
