ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Football fans aren't the only ones who want to be back at Bills Stadium.

The players are advocating for the same.

Defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, long snapper Reid Ferguson, and backup quarterback Matt Barkley all tweeted at Governor Cuomo Monday, calling on him to allow fans to attend games.

Head Coach Sean McDermott responded to the tweets Monday.

"I think it's coming from a good place in their hearts. They only want what's best for obviously our community number one, and then our team number two. As long as it's coming from a good place, which I know it is with the three young men you mentioned, yeah I'm all for it,” he said.

Governor Cuomo’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
